A Starry Night in Kathmandu
A Starry Night in Kathmandu showcases Nepal's distinct architectural heritage, currently featuring an interactive web rendering of the classical Himalayan Buddhist Stupa, Boudhanath (Khasti Chaitya). The project will soon expand to include Patan's Krishna Mandir, built in the stone Shikhara style, and Bhaktapur's Nyatapola Temple, a classic five-tiered Newari Pagoda.
I am Shreeya, an Applied AI Scientist by training. I am passionate about building tools and technologies for Nepali.
My work focuses on low-resource NLP. I am also interested in developing speech technologies for Nepali language. I am currently building Kaanchi - a S2ST for Nepali. The goal is to develop a system that will work in low-connectivity regions of Nepal. My mother is my motivation behind Kaanchi, I want to build a system that will help people like her converse in English.
